Sarasota, FL (April 22, 2026) — The 28th annual Thunder by the Bay Music & Motors Festival generated $310,000 this year for Suncoast Charities for Children, marking one of the event’s strongest fundraising years to date. Greg Linehan Law was proud to be among the sponsors supporting the festival and its mission to help local children, teens, and adults with special needs, as well as families facing difficult circumstances.
The annual Sarasota event drew large crowds throughout the weekend with performances from nationally known acts, including Night Ranger, 38 Special, and Montgomery Gentry. Motorcycle enthusiasts also had the opportunity to meet custom bike builder Paul Teutul Jr. during the festival.
According to Suncoast Charities for Children, proceeds from the event help fund a wide range of services and programs throughout the region, including developmental therapies, educational support, family assistance programs, employment resources, athletic opportunities, and residential services for individuals with physical and cognitive challenges.
During a recent volunteer and sponsor appreciation event, funding allocations were presented to 10 local nonprofit organizations, including Children First, Loveland Center, Special Olympics Florida, The Haven, Oak Park School, and The Florida Center. The grants will help support projects such as therapy services, adaptive equipment, sensory tools, camp scholarships, inclusive recreation programs, and classroom resources.

Suncoast Charities for Children Executive Director Lucy Nicandri noted that the success of the festival was made possible through community support, sponsorships, fundraising events leading up to the festival, and donations throughout the year. The organization also announced that Thunder by the Bay has now raised more than $3.3 million over its 28-year history.
Greg Linehan Law’s sponsorship reflects the firm’s longstanding ties to the Sarasota community. Attorney Greg Linehan has lived in Sarasota for more than 55 years and has represented injury victims throughout Florida for nearly three decades. After returning to Sarasota in the late 1990s, he built his legal career advocating for injured workers and individuals dealing with serious injuries and disabilities before founding Greg Linehan Law in 2022.
The 29th annual Thunder by the Bay Music & Motors Festival is scheduled for Feb. 19–21, 2027. Additional event information and future announcements can be found at ThunderByTheBay.org.
